Each year Ellie's soccer team participates in a huge tournament with teams from all over the world. They have a huge opening ceremony to celebrate the diversity.

Pioneer village summer fun

We tried to get out of the house on a hot summer day with five kids and see a pioneer village. It had lots of Minnesota antiques, including this sign from our beloved, now defunct drive-in.

This was such a crazy place, with old schoolhouses,

gas stations, military tanks, old restaurants, etc. It was like an organized junk yard!

Sawyer blessing

Since Teyah was turning 8 the same month, Sawyer was supposed to be born, we decided to have her baptism and his blessing be on the same weekend!

This worked so well, so that we could have lots of family at both events! We were so grateful that Grandma and Lauren and Heather's families could support us.

We LOVED this white romper that Grandma bought for Sawyer to be blessed in.  This was actually the pose he gave the congregation immediately following his baby blessing.

Teyah's baptism

We are so proud of our little Teyah! She was baptized and received the Holy Ghost.

I can't believe how grown up she is!

Teyah's buddies Hannah and Ainsley supported her. Ainsley has been living in India, so it was especially exciting to have her visiting during her baptism.

Good thing Teyah has the best Daddy ever to baptize her!

Sawyer was dressed in his Sunday best, but he wasn't too thrilled about it.

We are so excited to have Lauren and her baby Juliette visiting. We love that Sawyer has a cousin almost the same age.

Fo Shizzle

My husband has a wonderful sense of humor. I kept telling him I needed a DQ ice cream cake to celebrate my survival of being pregnant and delivering a child. He obliged in his closest attempt at being romantic.

The cake says, "Best mom Ever! Fo shizzle!"

Dave says he completely embarrassed the DQ worker and that was probably his favorite part of the whole cake.

In the end, I got my requested cake, so I am a happy mama!

Cousin Summer fun

We had lots of family come for Sawyer's blessing and Teyah's baptism!

We had to take our cousins to the famous Nelson's ice cream for the most obscene amount of ice cream!

We are quite the crew!

We enjoyed some time at Square Lake canoeing and digging in the sand.
